In this article we will guide you through all the steps to setting up your Lapwing

1. Download the app

First things first you will need to download the Lapwing app. Do this by selecting the type of phone you use below.

2. Sign up

  • Enter your phone number.

  • Enter your auth code

2. Setup WiFi

You'll need to setup WiFi in order to receive predictions and audio clips from your Lapwing. If you do not know your WiFi password it is typically found on a sticker/card on the back of your WiFi box.

  • Press the Setup WiFi button.

  • Enter your WiFi's name.

  • Enter your WiFi's password.

3. Setup Cellular (Optional)

If you wish to place your Lapwing in places where there is no WiFi you can set up cellular. To enable cellular you will need to purchase a subscription. We will will manage all the network coverage for you.

  • Press Setup Cellular

  • Purchase a subscription

  • You can now use cellular

4. Setup Lapwing

Press 'Setup Lapwing' and then  plug your Lapwing into power. Your Lapwing will then be setup with your WiFi credentials and be claimed as yours.

  • Press Setup Lapwing.

  • Plug in your Lapwing.

  • This is now your Lapwing.

5. Placing Lapwing.

Use our in built connectivity checker to find the best locations to place your Lapwing. Once you have found the spot, push the suction cup firmly against the window and rotate the handle. Finally hook your Lapwing onto the suction cup.

Note: Suction cup is very strong

  • Find a location to place.

  • Press the cup firmly against a window and rotate the handle

  • Hook Lapwing onto the suction cup.
